Staff Quality Assurance Engineer

📋 Description

• Own automated testing strategy and frameworks across UI product.
• Build critical-user-flow coverage into pipelines; ownership by development teams.
• Establish risk-weighted registry of critical flows; dashboards for coverage and traffic.
• AI-first approach to quality using Claude, MCP tooling, APIs, CLIs, data access.
• Modernize integration testing with API-driven automation; address gaps.
• Coach teams on quality practices; embed testing in design and code reviews.

🎯 Requirements

• Staff-level engineering with automated testing framework design across unit, integration, contract
• Core quality engineering expertise; build sophisticated automated testing systems, not just manual
• Strong programming skills with AWS and Node/TypeScript; distributed service boundaries.
• Experience with Jest, Playwright, contract/API/integration testing.
• Interest in AI for engineering workflows; MCP-based tooling.
• Excellent communication and coaching; autonomous with prioritization and measured improvements.
