Staff Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain resilient, scalable features
• Lead complex projects to improve functionality and reliability
• Partner with teams across Toast
• Ensure quality with automated testing for changes
• Roll features out to customers and partners, with monitoring for success
• Collaborate with UX and PM on feature design

🎯 Requirements

• A minimum of three year undergraduate degree in any related discipline
• 9-13 years experience building backend services and APIs
• Extensive experience with Java or Kotlin, with testing, quality, and best practices
• Experience shipping production services with stability and reliability
• Experience building backend services and APIs and scaling distributed systems
• Excellent cross-team communication skills on complex technical topics
