Staff Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Guide technical direction of glab, owning its architecture, implementation, and evolution.
• Design and ship terminal-first features and workflows in Go, with close attention to developer
• Absorb multiple changing inputs from Product, the open source community, and internal teams
• Partner with Product Management to shape and execute the roadmap by framing problems, making clear
• Steer the open source project and community by triaging issues, reviewing and merging
• Work with other Developer Clients teams to ensure glab works well with the broader GitLab developer

🎯 Requirements

• Go and building command-line interfaces or systems-level tools with thoughtful command and flag
• Sustained history of open source contributions, ideally including triage or maintainership.
• Self-directed owner who can absorb multiple inputs, re-prioritize, and continue delivering.
• Strong product and user experience instincts for developer workflows, with ability to frame
• Experience setting technical direction and influencing work across teams in an IC role.
• Familiarity with TypeScript or JavaScript developer tools, AI-powered developer tools or agents
