Staff Software Engineer (Athena)

📋 Description

• Own a significant domain: onboarding workflows, entitlements, or data validation.
• Architect and implement Go backends on GCP; ensure production readiness.
• Lead data pipelines ingesting unstructured vulnerability reports; deduplicate outputs.
• Establish engineering best practices: reviews, testing, incident response.
• Collaborate with principal engineer and manager on planning and roadmap sequencing.
• Collaborate with libraries team on interface contracts and data quality.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years backend engineering with ownership of large, complex systems.
• Strong Go skills; experience with GCP and Terraform.
• Experience building systems processing data from heterogeneous, unstructured sources.
• Taken a business problem from prototype/MVP to production service.
• Experience designing systems with multiple entitlement levels, access controls, and routing.
• Comfortable with observability tooling; ensure production health.
