Staff Software Engineer, Backend (Identity International)

📋 Description

• Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long time scale.
• Collaborate across product, design, and analytics to ensure sustainability and manage risks.
• Act as a force-multiplier by defining technical solutions and operational processes.
• Own your team’s operations and availability with monitoring, playbooks, testing, and on-call
• Establish code review and design standards and advocate them beyond your team.
• Develop talent by mentoring and guiding team members; participate in on-call rotation.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
• Proficient in Python or Kotlin; experience building highly available distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS, MySQL, Spark, and Kubernetes.
• Track record delivering major features or system components with clear technical plans.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and understand architecture from low-level details to large-scale
• Strong verbal and written communication for global collaboration.
