Staff Software Engineer (Customer Platform)

📋 Description

• Own features end-to-end: design, implement, rollout, iterate with Product Mgmt and Chainguard teams.
• Develop backend systems (Go, REST/gRPC) powering entitlement, policy, and onboarding services.
• Serve as technical interface between Customer Platform and other teams; build integration paths.
• Extend AI foundation into customer-facing product experiences.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to senior and mid-level engineers.
• Contribute to a product-driven roadmap with clear outcomes and iterative shipping.

🎯 Requirements

• Production Go experience.
• Strong ownership of API design and backend systems at scale.
• Experience coordinating across multiple teams for standards and infrastructure.
• Comfort with ambiguity; diagnose, recommend, and plan next steps.
• Ability to mentor engineers without formal management role.
• Familiarity with cloud-native environments (Kubernetes, cloud provider APIs) is a plus.
