Staff Software Engineer (Customer Platform)

📋 Description

• Own features end-to-end from design to rollout and iteration with Product Management and partner
• Design, build, and evolve backend systems (Go, REST/gRPC APIs) powering entitlement, policy, and
• Serve as primary technical interface between Customer Platform and other Chainguard teams; build
• Extend AI foundation into customer-facing product experiences.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to senior and mid-level engineers; help break down
• Contribute to a product-driven roadmap with clear outcomes and iterative shipping.

🎯 Requirements

• Production Go experience.
• Strong ownership of API design and backend systems at scale.
• Experience coordinating across multiple teams to align standards and patterns.
• Ability to diagnose and recommend paths forward in ambiguity.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance beyond management title.
• Familiarity with cloud-native environments (Kubernetes, cloud provider APIs) is a plus.
