📋 Description

• Provide senior technical leadership across Canva's experimentation backend systems.
• Help evolve platform for configuring experiments, targeting users, exposing variants and measuring
• Move toward platform that reinforces good experimentation practices and surfaces signals faster.
• Collaborate with Canva teams and shape platform direction with platform-building teams.
• Explore automation of analysis using AI to accelerate learning and iteration.

🎯 Requirements

• Backend platform engineering experience; built backend systems or platforms used by others.
• Experience with experimentation at scale; A/B testing, feature-management or progressive rollout.
• Technical leadership; ability to set direction and guide engineers.
• Track record driving adoption of internal platforms by other teams.
• Strong knowledge of backend and distributed systems, data systems, and experimentation concepts.
• Proficiency in Java is a plus; strong engineering fundamentals across languages.
