Staff Software Engineer, Imaging

📋 Description

• Define and expand computer vision & ML infrastructure for imaging data lifecycle
• Build platform features for imaging modalities and ML-derived phenotypes in discovery workflows
• Collaborate with lab scientists, ML scientists, and microscopy teams to turn prototypes into
• Set technical direction for imaging, automation, and ML in drug discovery
• Hybrid in-person schedule with three days/week in South San Francisco
• Own end-to-end projects with maintainable architecture

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years building/operating production-grade software and high-throughput data pipelines (Python)
• Designed and deployed scientific computing pipelines, visualizations, QC for large-scale imaging
• Experience with Python-first ML stack, distributed compute (PyTorch/PyTorch Lightning, Ray
• Experience with workflow orchestration (Argo, Airflow)
• Proven track record of end-to-end delivery from architecture to production
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and mentorship
