Staff Software Engineer - Native Infrastructure

📋 Description

• Own native build and release foundation across iOS and Android
• Define Bazel rules, monorepo strategy, and React Native build pipeline
• Lead CI/CD and release tooling, including OTA and staged rollout
• Migration of mobile repos into Canva's monorepo with continuity
• Set measurable standards for build reliability and release safety

🎯 Requirements

• Deep, hands-on experience with Bazel, Gradle, or Xcode at production scale
• Proven track record delivering complex cross-team projects
• Strong mobile engineering background (iOS/Android) and cross-platform tooling
• Experience owning CI/CD or release pipelines used by multiple teams
• Ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term architecture
• Excellent documentation and engineering standards
