Staff Software Engineer - Observability

📋 Description

• Staff engineer for Adyen's Observability platform.
• Build and maintain products/services for real-time telemetry data to support reliability and data
• Lead logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting strategies; tackle scaling bottlenecks in telemetry
• Mentor SRE and software teams on monitoring, instrumentation, and best practices.
• Improve reliability and reduce alert fatigue; drive architecture improvements and acceptance of new

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in highly distributed systems.
• Experience designing APIs and data pipelines for high-throughput, real-time data ingestion.
• Proficiency in Go and/or Java; strong system design skills.
• Experience with containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaC (Terraform).
• Observability stack: logging, metrics, tracing, alerting with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana
• Strong communication, mentorship, and stakeholder management.
