Staff Software Engineer, Orders Platform

📋 Description

• Lead multi-team initiatives to improve reliability, scalability, and operability of a large-scale
• Define technical strategy for the full order lifecycle and data integrity.
• Architect event-driven, idempotent workflows for order operations.
• Establish observability, invariants, and auditable histories across services.
• Collaborate with Payments, Fulfillment, Catalog, Fraud, Data, and other teams to build platform
• Guide architecture reviews, spikes, launches, and cross-team efforts while contributing hands-on

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years designing and operating large-scale backend/platform systems.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, SOA, high-volume APIs, asynchronous processing, and
• Proficiency in Go, Java, or Python; production experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with on-call ownership, SLOs/error budgets, and incident management.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and agentic patterns in platform engineering.
• BS/MS in CS/Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
