Staff Software Engineer, Passport & Commerce (Backend)

📋 Description

• Design and evolve core services and data models for account state, eligibility, and entitlements.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to translate concepts into scalable
• Partner with Payments & Wallet to ensure end-to-end credits, discounts, and programs settle
• Set technical direction and lead design reviews across a growing team.
• Drive cross-team architecture decisions to keep account state consistent with Passport model.
• Identify and resolve reliability, scalability, and data integrity risks before they affect guests

🎯 Requirements

• 9+ years designing and scaling complex, distributed backend systems.
• Proven track record as a technical leader who sets architecture direction.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems fundamentals: data consistency, caching, service
• Experience with financial transactions, entitlements, or stateful account data preferred.
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and influencing decisions across teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication across engineering, product, and design partners.

🎁 Benefits

• Pay range: $212,000 — $265,000 USD.
• Bonus, equity, benefits, and travel credits may be eligible.
