Staff Software Engineer, Quality Engineering

📋 Description

• Lead quality engineering strategy for GridUnity’s AI-native development model.
• Own the quality operating model and scale it across product lines.
• Harden pipelines where agents generate, maintain, and execute test coverage (API, UI, integration
• Manage review-and-activation loop to maintain throughput and SLA commitments.
• Own release-gate discipline with evidence-backed sign-off and escalation paths.
• Demote manual tests as automation catches up to shrink manual catalog.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in Software Engineering/Quality Engineering/SDET leadership.
• Experience designing AI-assisted quality workflows and agentic testing systems.
• Proven ability to design automated testing for enterprise SaaS and balance machine vs human work.
• Strong software engineering skills in Java and TypeScript.
• Experience with release governance, gates, exit criteria, waivers, and sign-off accountability.
• Understanding of distributed systems, CI/CD, and highly testable architectures.
