Staff Software Engineer, Tax Experiences

📋 Description

• Execute the technical strategy for your team's domain aligned with OKRs.
• Design, build, and test tax information update flows.
• Advocate for customers and employers to ensure accurate tax processing.
• Collaborate across Engineering, PM, Design, Data Science, Compliance, and teams.
• Support the platform powering multiple products used by millions.
• Drive end-to-end product development for payroll, taxes, and compliance.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in software engineering with React/TypeScript/Rails/SQL; travel for onboarding.
• Experience in Payroll, Taxes, or Compliance.
• Experience in large codebases; incremental improvements at scale.
• Ability to simplify complex, ambiguous problems.
• Experience applying AI to accelerate development and testing.
• Collaborative, pair programming and shared investigation.
