Staff Spacecraft Platform Engineer

📋 Description

• Senior technical owner of Muon Spacecraft bus; own platform-level architecture and requirements.
• Drive trades across mechanical, electrical, solar/power, thermal, and avionics; scale platform with
• Hybrid role requiring on-site work at San Jose, CA office three days per week.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in spacecraft or complex-system engineering with platform ownership.
• Broad understanding of spacecraft subsystems; deep expertise in at least one subsystem.
• Experience delivering subsystems from requirements through V&V and launch/flight ops.
• Track record leading system trades and requirements across programs.
• Strong systems-engineering mindset: budgets, interfaces/ICDs, V&V.
• Strong technical leadership and cross-functional communication.
