Strategic Finance Manager, R&D

📋 Description

• Own modeling of R&D spend from cloud infra to AI/compute costs and engineering headcount.
• Translate spend models into decisions to scale R&D efficiently relative to revenue.
• Partner with CTO/engineering to monitor live headcount capacity and run scenario models.
• Automate board and exec materials from governed data ranges to speed up analysis.
• Collaborate with Head of AI to optimize AI and infra spend as usage grows.

🎯 Requirements

• 5-8 years in investment banking, investing, consulting, or finance at a high-growth tech company.
• Hands-on fluency with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) to accelerate modeling and analysis.
• Excel and Google Sheets modeling at expert level; experience building scalable AI-assisted engines
• Experience supporting technical/product orgs (Engineering, Product, Data Science, Infrastructure).
