Strategic Finance Manager, R&D

📋 Description

• Own financial planning, reporting and decision support for R&D investments
• Partner with technical leaders and finance stakeholders to analyze costs and build scalable models
• Model engineering headcount, cloud infra, AI and compute costs; guide resource allocation and
• Develop monthly/quarterly/annual planning processes and executive reviews
• Create automated, scalable reporting to improve visibility into R&D performance
• Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate modeling, reporting and decision-making

🎯 Requirements

• 5–8 years in investment banking, private equity, consulting, strategic finance, or similar in
• Proven experience owning multi-period planning and reporting with limited guidance
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets modeling for scalable financial models
• Hands-on experience with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT or similar) for analysis
• Ability to critically evaluate AI outputs and apply business judgment
• Experience building automated reporting tools, scenario models or planning systems (e.g., Pigment)
