Structural Department Manager

📋 Description

• Lead and supervise Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers, building accountability and
• Serve as active Structural Engineer of Record, including QC and constructability reviews
• Review project specs and coordinate Construction Administration with the Project Manager
• Own financial performance and profitability of all projects in the department
• Develop and manage department budgets, staffing, and utilization targets
• Make go/no-go decisions on opportunities and assign projects strategically

🎯 Requirements

• PE licensure and 14+ years of engineering experience; 5+ years as a Project Manager; SE licensure a
• Hands-on design across aviation, schools, municipal facilities, and public infrastructure
• Proficiency with RAM, RISA3D, ENERCALC, TEDDS, Revit
• Strong steel, concrete, masonry design; wood and post-tensioned concrete a plus
• Experience with existing building renovation and new construction in active airport environments
• Proven profitability leadership and department financial management
