Structured Cabling Design Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop end-to-end structured cabling designs for data center projects.
• Design fiber-optic and copper cabling infrastructure for networking and building systems.
• Create connectivity designs for MDFs/IDFs and data halls.
• Produce diagrams, rack elevations, cabling layouts, and schedules.
• Coordinate cabling with multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
• Review construction drawings and supplier proposals.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in structured cabling, data center infrastructure, or related field.
• Hands-on design experience in mission-critical environments.
• Expertise in fiber-optic infrastructure (single-mode and multimode).
• Strong understanding of cabling architecture, pathways, and standards.
• Experience creating technical drawings and connectivity documentation.
• Knowledge of standards like TIA, BICSI, IEEE, NEC/NFPA, ISO/IEC.
