Structured Cabling Design Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop end-to-end structured cabling designs for data center projects
• Design fiber and copper cabling infrastructure for networking, compute, storage
• Create connectivity designs for MDFs/IDFs, MMRs, data halls
• Produce BOMs, schematics, rack elevations, and connectivity schedules
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and review contractor packages
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines and participate in design reviews

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in structured cabling, data center infra, or related field
• Strong hands-on design in mission-critical/data center environments
• Expertise in fiber-optic tech: single-mode and multimode
• Understanding of high-density cabling, patching systems, pathways
• Experience producing technical drawings and design documentation
• Knowledge of TIA, BICSI, IEEE, NEC/NFPA, ISO/IEC requirements
