Structured Cabling Design Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop end-to-end structured cabling designs for data center projects
• Design fiber-optic and copper cabling infrastructure for networking, compute, storage, and security
• Create layouts for MDFs/IDFs, MMRs, and data halls
• Produce BOMs, schematics, rack elevations, and connectivity schedules
• Review drawings, BIM/CAD models, vendor submittals, RFIs, and proposals
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and support testing and commissioning

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in structured cabling, telecom, or data center infra
• Strong hands-on design in mission-critical environments
• Expertise in single-mode and multimode fiber
• Knowledge of TIA, BICSI, IEEE, NEC/NFPA, ISO/IEC
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, and vendors
• Detail-oriented with accurate technical documentation
