Supplier Quality Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead Supplier Qualification and Onboarding: conduct audits of suppliers to evaluate manufacturing
• Manage the Supplier Life Cycle: primary technical contact for a portfolio of suppliers from
• Partner with Engineering during the DFM phase to optimize complex mechanical designs for high-yield
• APQP/PPAP Ownership: own PPAP package delivery and ensure component validation before SOP.
• Lead PPAP deliverables (PFMEAs, Process Flows, Control Plans) and mitigate assembly risks with
• Oversee supplier assembly, test, and integration of sensors and actuation systems; define SC/CC

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Deep understanding of APQP, PPAP, including FMEA, MSA, Gage R&R, and SPC.
• Proficiency with Solidworks or similar 3D CAD/CAE tools; PLM and ECO/document revision control
• Experience with GD&T and diverse manufacturing processes (PCB/PCBA, wire harness, sheet metal
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and supplier DFMs; familiarity with ISO/IATF
• Travel approximately 25-50% for on-site supplier audits, PVs, and ramp-ups.
