Surface Finishing R&D Technician

📋 Description

• Set up, operate, and maintain lapping, grinding, dry etching, and polishing equipment.
• Precisely prepare and clean samples using lapping, grinding, and polishing.
• Assist engineering with tests, inspections, and ad-hoc lab procedures.
• Perform minor maintenance and upkeep of lab and machine shop tools.
• Maintain system documentation and update stakeholders on progress.

🎯 Requirements

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's in a technical/engineering field.
• Experience: 5+ years in lapping, grinding, and/or polishing.
• Equipment Knowledge: Proficient with LapMaster, Ravasum, Applied Materials, Engis.
• Technical Inspection: Knowledge of surface metrology and inspection techniques.
• Physical & Operational: Lift at least 5 lbs in a lab setting.
