Team Lead, Software Engineering

📋 Description

• Lead a team of 3–5 engineers, managing growth, delivery, and mentorship.
• Stay hands-on, coding and architecture about half the time.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Data to translate priorities into a roadmap.
• Drive execution, remove blockers, and align work with business goals.
• Coach engineers via 1:1s, reviews, and design discussions to raise quality.
• Hire, onboard, and retain great engineers as the team grows.

🎯 Requirements

• BS in CS or equivalent; 7+ years building software; 1-2 years leading engineers.
• Strong in TypeScript, Python, Go, or Ruby; with React, Vue, or Express.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and microservices.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills: schema design, queries, performance.
• Track record shipping complex projects end-to-end and balancing tech debt.
• Agile experience with Jira or GitHub Projects; strong cross-functional communication.
