Technician, R&D II Vivarium

📋 Description

• Handle and restrain research animals (mice primary; may include rats, dogs, non-human primates).
• Perform PO, IV, ID, IP and SC injections.
• Execute survival and non-survival procedures: blood collection, identification, weights, etc.
• Perform euthanasia and tissue harvest/necropsy.
• Support animal care/husbandry and environmental monitoring.
• Maintain inventories and perform in vitro bench top techniques (formulations, pipetting).

🎯 Requirements

• ALAT with HS diploma + 5 yrs in lab animal field, or ALAT with AS/BS + 3 yrs, or LAT with HS
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive procedures and adapt to changing work environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and communicate issues with peers/supervisor.
