📋 Description

• Thermal design for optical terminal, bench, and flight payload as it comes online.
• Thermal stability to sub-micron alignment in coordination with STOP efforts.
• Heat management for high-power amplifiers, drivers, and modem electronics near precision optics.
• Define thermal environment across deployment sites and budgets for payload interfaces.
• Develop roadmap from demonstrator thermal control to field/orbit survivable terminal.

🎯 Requirements

• Thermal design/analysis depth; fluent in Thermal Desktop, ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar.
• STOP reasoning or strong intuition for heat in precision hardware.
• Electronics cooling for high-power components.
• Hands-on thermal test and model correlation.
• Degree in mechanical, aerospace, or physics with modeling skills (Python, MATLAB, or similar).
