TIG Welder (Starship)

📋 Description

• Tank fabrication for Starship/Super Heavy airframes at SpaceX South Texas build site.
• Weld, fabricate, assemble tank structures and related components per drawings/specs.
• Collaborate with lead welder to determine weld procedures, materials, and rod sizes.
• Analyze engineering drawings to plan welding where procedures aren’t provided.
• Improve operations, reduce turnaround times, and maintain an efficient work environment.
• Weld assemblies and fabricate small to large-scale structures and components.

🎯 Requirements

• GTAW class A welds; ability to cut, trim, and fit metal components to dimensions.
• 1+ year TIG welding in manufacturing or recent welding program certificate.
• Ability to work at elevated heights and in confined spaces; pass weld test per AWS D17.1.
• Comfort with shift work, overtime, weekends; physical ability for demanding tasks.
