Trader, Natural Gas (Supply Chain)

📋 Description

• Establish and lead a new, lean natural gas trading team to support SpaceX’s energy needs.
• Develop and execute trading strategies for natural gas to reduce risk and ensure on-time delivery.
• Identify pricing inefficiencies across tenors, hubs, pipelines, and storage; manage P&L.
• Manage trading positions in response to market signals and operational data.
• Maintain discipline in risk management, trade execution, and compliance with authorities.
• Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal; build relationships with counterparties and brokers.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in natural gas or energy commodity trading, or related analysis.
• Strong knowledge of US/global natural gas markets; experience with pipelines/storage optimization
• Proven track record in trading P&L generation or cost optimization in natural gas markets.
• Established counterparty relationships; experience with deal development and structured
• Analytical skills; proficient in Excel, SQL, PowerBI; Python or similar tools a plus.
• Understanding of risk management, position management, and regulatory frameworks for natural gas.
