vCISO & Privacy Advisory Consultant

📋 Description

• Lead client engagements on cybersecurity strategy, privacy compliance, and security maturity
• Develop and support privacy programs aligned with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, SOC 2 Privacy, ISO 27701.
• Deliver virtual CISO advisory with roadmaps, risk mitigation, governance guidance, and incident
• Advise on security controls, data protection architecture, and compliance across cloud, network
• Assist in creating/refining security policies, procedures, and technical docs.
• Support discovery, scoping, and SME input for client engagements.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years IT experience with 3+ years in vCISO advisory/cybersecurity consulting focusing on privacy.
• Required certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
• Preferred: IAPP credentials (CIPP/US, CIPM), ISO 27701 Lead Auditor, QSA, or similar audits.
• Strong understanding of GDPR, GDPR/CCPA/CPRA, and related data protection requirements.
• Deep knowledge of security controls, risk management, and privacy-by-design.
• Experience advising on frameworks like PCI DSS, CMMC, FedRAMP, NIST, HITRUST, SOC 2.
