Lead, coach, and grow a team of engineering technicians
Own fleet readiness: plan vehicle buildouts, maintenance, and repairs
Run the workshop: safety, organization, tooling, and layout
Ensure vehicle modifications meet Japanese safety regs and車検 requirements
Collaborate with autonomy engineering, hardware, and vehicle ops teams in Japan and the US
Support OEM customer engagements involving our vehicles

🎯 Requirements

7+ years in automotive service, mechanical, electrical, or robotics
2+ years leading or supervising technicians
Certified vehicle inspector (自動車検査員)
Knowledge of Japanese vehicle safety regs (保安基準) and modification review
Proven ownership of a service/workshop operation
Strong organizational and communication skills; able to prioritize across teams
