Video Producer

📋 Description

• Own PlanetScale’s video program across stories, launches, events, YouTube, shorts, and more.
• Set creative bar with story, pacing, visuals, sound, and detail.
• Find narrative in technical subjects—shape raw material into watchable content.
• Film on location at customer sites, conferences, and our SF office; handle camera, lighting, audio
• Edit long-form videos, launches, event recaps, social clips with rhythm and structure.
• Own post-production from assembly to delivery: pacing, sound, color, motion graphics.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong portfolio across narrative work, quick-turn edits, social cuts; portfolio matters most.
• Experience filming, directing, and editing projects end-to-end as an individual contributor.
• Proficient in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut (or similar).
• Experience shooting on location with own lighting and audio.
• Motion graphics/animation ability; good judgment for clarity and impact.
• Strong project management: shoots, footage, feedback, deadlines.
