Virtual Construction Designer

📋 Description

• Develop accurate BIM models and detailed construction documentation for mechanical systems.
• Coordinate AEC data to support shop drawings and project coordination.
• Create 3D models for piping, plumbing, and ductwork per codes and specs.
• Design and route mechanical systems per internal and project requirements.
• Identify conflicts and communicate issues to project leadership for resolution.
• Collaborate with project teams and multidisciplinary groups to improve coordination.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of trade apprenticeship with CAD/BIM training or related AEC experience.
• 2+ years drafting/design in piping, plumbing, sheet metal, or related mechanical trades.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices for mechanical systems and coordination.
• Proficiency with BIM/design software: Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Fabrication, Navisworks.
• Experience creating/managing detailed 3D models and construction drawings.
• Familiarity with plumbing/piping codes and standards; strong attention to detail.
