📋 Description

• Negotiate and draft agreements for production stages, including rights acquisition and talent deals.
• Lead development, production licensing and distribution agreements for film and TV projects.
• Advise executives on legal risk and strategic business considerations throughout project lifecycles.
• Structure and close business transactions balancing legal, creative and commercial goals.
• Manage chain of title, rights clearance, and intellectual property protection initiatives.
• Coordinate with outside counsel, studios, networks, and production partners.

🎯 Requirements

• 8–12+ years in business and legal affairs at major studios, networks, streamers, or equivalent
• Juris Doctor (JD) and active California State Bar membership.
• Extensive experience negotiating and drafting sophisticated entertainment transactions across
• Strong knowledge of IP, chain of title, copyright, guild and union agreements (WGA/DGA/SAG-AFTRA).
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple matters with sound judgment.
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.
