Weld Manufacturing Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop and optimize weld processes for electron beam, laser, TIG, MIG, plasma, and resistance welding.
• Support R&D and production builds of welded aircraft structures; guide technicians and engineers.
• Collaborate with design/manufacturing to drive weld joint design, fixtures, and assembly methods.
• Lead root-cause investigations on welds; implement corrective actions from metallurgical findings.
• Plan and execute weld qualification campaigns, including mechanical testing and NDE.
• Partner with NDE specialists to evaluate weld quality and develop advanced inspection techniques.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical discipline.
• Hands-on fabrication, manufacturing, or testing experience with structural aerospace assemblies.
• Thrives in fast-paced environments; execution-focused.
• Degree in Welding Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on welding with nickel-based alloys, stainless steel, titanium, copper, aluminum.
• Understanding of weld design principles and tolerances under thermal and structural loads.
