Winter Seasonal Patroller, Highway Maintenance

📋 Description

• Patrol Ontario provincial highways and report road, traffic, and safety conditions
• Monitor weather events, forecasts, and changing highway conditions
• Identify priority areas and communicate recommendations to lead hand or shop supervisor
• Coordinate with equipment operators to bring additional resources on shift when required
• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as needed
• Perform and assist with year-round highway maintenance (potholes, guardrails, bridges, signage

🎯 Requirements

• Valid full G driver's license with a clean three-year abstract; AZ or DZ licensing preferred
• Previous experience in highway maintenance or related operational environment
• Knowledge of provincial/municipal highway maintenance specs
• Experience operating snowplows, loaders, or heavy equipment is an asset
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong observation, organizational, and decision-making skills
