Identifying recommended and security patches for our platforms
Testing the deployment of identified patch bundles and application integration
Creating/Updating Chef cookbooks pertaining to in store platforms
Responding to and resolving daily operational alerts
Partnering with Store Associates and Vendor partners via phone to resolve issues remotely
Leveraging Agile methods to participate in daily operations and Project led efforts
Understands business processes implications underlying critical applications and systems
Partners with Senior Software Engineers with assessments of current application
Follows and guides team members in Agile/XP development best practices: pair programming, test driven development
Uses software code management tools and processes to ensure code traceability and good governance
Develops test plans & follows strategies for small complexity business problems
What you know
5 – 7 years of experience in server administration with Linux
High learning attitude
Good debugging skills
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
Education
CS degree or equivalent experience
