Salary expectations:
$160,000-170,000 AUD + stock options
$170,000-180,000 NZD + stock options

You will work alongside your cross-functional product and engineering peers to lead a cross-functional team, influencing direction and outcomes.

You will be a great fit for this role if…
You have multiple years of experience in a Researcher/UX design role at a B2B SaaS company, preferably with Enterprise product exposure
You have previously worked alongside a Product Manager and Lead Engineer, demonstrating accountability for team work quality and involvement in strategic decisions
You can exert influence on the overall objectives of your team by actively contributing to gathering insights and championing opportunities
You can confidently lead research to discover insights that prove valuable to understanding the problem and influence the direction of the solution

Build an understanding of our customers across a range of industries and technology stacks
Use Dovetail to curate research and help us optimise our use of it at Octopus
Collaborate with the Engineer and Product manager to explore the next wave of opportunities with customers around the world - you will have flexibility and input into the timing of when those conversations happen
Evaluate the impact of solutions through quantitative and qualitative measures, iterating on the learning with your team
Conduct research, including user interviews, surveys, and studies, combining these with quantitaive data sources for holistic customer understanding
Facilitate a cross-functional workshop to uncover assumptions or work towards an outcome More about the role
You will be the first Researcher joining Octopus. Your team will be a cross-functional product team (as opposed to a team of researchers). You will stay connected to our designers, and supported through design team rituals like school of design, mentoring, team kickoffs, team round tables.
We use modern tools such as Dovetail, UserInterviews, Tableau, and Google workspace
