This position will be the lead role on helping us to acquire new and exciting event and venue partnerships spanning a variety of categories. Recess has already establishing ourselves as a leading partnerships platform working with brands like WeWork, Equinox, Soulcycle, and Tanger Outlets, and your main goal will be to help develop and acquire new opportunities.

In this role, you will be directly responsible for identifying new accounts and working to close opportunities by advocating the Recess platform to manage existing partnerships and help generate new revenue through our partnerships marketplace.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate expert understanding of all things Recess, and effectively deliver this knowledge to partners in order to help solve their pain points
  • Review and help to identify new market opportunities to expand into new category verticals
  • Build and manage a full-cycle sales funnel from generating leads to closing deals
  • Manage a high volume of outbound email campaigns to help identify new opportunities
  • Work alongside the marketing team to execute lead generation and inbound campaigns
  • Serve as the front line for new inbound leads
  • Develop and deliver presentations to education partners on Recess’ value proposition, roadmap, and partnership opportunities
  • Develop lasting relationships with key stakeholders at top organizations
  • Work closely with the Customer Strategy team to validate demand from new categories prior to acquiring them
  • Work closely with the Supply Operations team to ensure partners have smooth onboarding and exceed expectations
  • Required Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to think strategically and work with key stakeholders at a high level
  • Ability to manage your own pipeline
  • Ability to be proactive and work independently
  • Strong attention to detail, organized and driven
  • Ability to make and deliver strong sales presentations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional professional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficient in google sheets and Microsoft excel
  • Must be a self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Team player that has a can-do-anything mentality
  • Education/Experience:

  • At least 5+ years of previous experience in a similar position in brand partnerships or business development
  • Enterprise B2B sales experience executing an ABM strategy
  • Previous CRM experience managing contacts and opportunities
  • Previous experience working as a venue manager, sponsorship sales, brand partnerships or business development is a major plus
  • $80-100k including base and incentive compensation
