Automation Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions that streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive cost savings across the organization. Additionally, this position will support in multiple areas such as, acting as a technical innovator, problem solver, and collaborative partner, working closely with various teams to identify automation opportunities and translate them into robust and scalable solutions.

What does a day in the life of an Automation Developer look like?

  • Analyze manual processes and workflows to identify automation opportunities.
  • Design and develop automated solutions using RPA (Robotic Process Automation), API integrations, scripting languages (Python, Java, etc.), and automation frameworks (Selenium, UiPath, Workato).
  • Implement and test automated scripts, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain automated processes, troubleshoot issues proactively, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define automation scope, and ensure successful implementation.
  • Document automation processes and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Meet or exceed performance targets for related KPIs
  • Continuously improve knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modules
  • Collaborate with other departments as neededMaintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • What are the required qualifications of an Automation Developer?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience developing and implementing automation solutions
  • Proven experience with RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, etc.) and/or scripting languages (Python, Java, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies (Agile, DevOps, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience working with vendors and partners
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in using computers and various software applications
