2027 Drug Substance Engineering Intern (PhD)

📋 Description

• Experimental studies to understand and characterize powder properties
• Evaluate performance of micronization techniques (i.e. jet mill, pin mill) with various feed
• Analyze data and trends to identify signatures for process performance
• Develop and verify computational models
• Summarize and present findings in departmental and cross-functional settings

🎯 Requirements

• Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or
• Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship
• Expected graduation date between December 2027 – June 2028
• Exposure to comminution processes
• Experience with physical characterization techniques (flowability, adhesion, cohesion, bulk
• Proficient in computational modeling techniques (e.g., fluid dynamics, discrete element method)
