Accounting Close Lead

📋 Description

• Own the month-end close and consolidation process across US, Swedish, and UK entities under US GAAP.
• Run the close calendar to land on time monthly and shorten as automation takes over routine work.
• Partner with the Controller on the move toward a continuous close; build or direct automated
• Design controls, review steps, and evidence trails in workflows for audit-readiness.
• Support group external audit: PBC requests, walkthroughs, reconciliations, and audit adjustments.
• Assist with statutory audits in the UK and Sweden.

🎯 Requirements

• Has personally run a month-end close and consolidation under US GAAP across multiple entities.
• Has been through Big 4 audits from the company side.
• Drive to build an AI-first, continuous close with examples of automated/redesigned close processes.
• Deep respect for public-company rigor: controls, review evidence, documentation, calendars.
• Operationally minded; prefer fixing processes over writing memos.
• Nice to have: startup to IPO/public-company readiness experience including SOX.
