Advanced SQL Database Administrator

📋 Description

• Maintain, monitor, and manage the SQL Server databases in all application environments
• Troubleshoot availability issues related to clustering on Windows Server, SQL Server on Virtual
• Troubleshoot performance, locking, and blocking issues within SQL Server databases, tempdb, virtual
• Proactively and reactively resolve database performance and capacity issues, including managing
• Manage SQL Server jobs and Windows scheduled tasks
• Perform safe upgrades and migrations for IaaS-based SQL Servers

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university and/or
• Azure certifications are strongly preferred (AZ-900, DP-300)
• 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting SQL Server availability issues related to clustering
• 3+ years of experience managing SQL jobs, including database maintenance jobs (backups, index
• 1+ years of experience in administering SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines
• 1+ years of experience in administering and supporting Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, Azure
