Aerospace Stress Engineer

📋 Description

• Static and dynamic stress analysis of landing gear structures
• Structural assessments for landing, taxiing and fatigue environments
• Hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA)
• Develop and assess finite element models using ANSYS, MSC NASTRAN or ABAQUS
• Correlate analytical and FEA predictions against physical test results
• Assess designs against aerospace certification requirements and engineering standards

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience in aerospace structural or stress analysis
• Experience performing hand calculations and finite element analysis
• Good understanding of static strength, fatigue, structural integrity and dynamic loading
• Practical experience with one or more major FEA packages such as ANSYS, NASTRAN or ABAQUS
• Experience analysing metallic aerospace structures and components
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, load cases, material properties and test data
