📋 Description

• TTS backend: integrate/optimize vendor APIs; lead TTS R&D.
• Linguistic optimization: phonetics/SSML for natural TTS.
• Conversational turn design: craft utterances to build trust.
• Prompt & persona management: craft LLM and TTS prompts for personas.
• UI exposure: expose voice attributes to product UI.
• Cross-functional R&D: align ASR/Audio AI to reduce latency in ASR -> LLM -> TTS.
• Based in Vancouver hub; hybrid schedule.

🎯 Requirements

• Technical Foundation: Python and PyTorch.
• Speech Synthesis: 3+ yrs with NeMo/ESPnet/Coqui.
• Linguistic background: degree in Computational Linguistics, CS, or AI/ML.
• Prompt engineering: LLM prompts and templates.
• Backend/API: production APIs; cloud (GCP preferred).
• Evaluation mindset: MOS, latency; design A/B tests.
