AI Inference Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain software systems in production, prefer Python for ML.
• Design, implement, and deploy Baseten solutions end-to-end with customers.
• Ship well-tested services and outcomes for customers with clear specs.
• Improve AI/ML projects and contribute to the tech stack.
• Own customer projects end-to-end; act as engineer, PM, and PM.
• Navigate ambiguity, balance tradeoffs, and avoid unnecessary complexity.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in CS, Engineering, Math, or related.
• 2+ years in a fast-growth environment.
• Production experience with at least one general-purpose language; Python preferred.
• Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines and deployment lifecycle.
• Strong communication on complex technical topics.
• Experience building or optimizing AI/ML projects valued.
