Animal Care Technician II

📋 Description

• Provides animal care and oversight in drug discovery and development support
• Maintains vivarium and support areas; handles cages, equipment, and supplies
• Performs daily animal handling and housing preparation
• Documents tasks in written/electronic systems per regulatory standards
• Maintains attention to detail; supports regulatory expectations
• Provides basic technical husbandry training to new staff

🎯 Requirements

• HS education and 1+ year in a lab animal care facility or Associate's degree
• AALAS ALAT certification or higher
• Problem-solving with team collaboration
• Good communication with internal and external staff
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Rotating schedule with some weekend/holiday coverage
