Application Software Engineer, Applied AI

📋 Description

• Develop reliable AI-enabled software across SpaceX (production, flight, Starlink).
• Create apps using large language models, agentic systems, and AI features.
• Own full lifecycle of Applied AI from prototype to production.
• Identify AI opportunities from user problems; deliver production-grade solutions.
• Architect AI systems for agentic workflows and multi-agent orchestration.
• Build evaluation frameworks and observability for AI quality, safety, latency, and cost.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering/math, or 2+ years software experience
• 1+ years of full-stack development
• Hands-on experience evaluating, deploying, and delivering end-to-end AI products
• Production experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka
• Front-end experience (Angular/React) and databases (PostgreSQL/SQL Server)
• Onsite only; extended hours during launches may be required
