Application Support Analyst

📋 Description

• Supporting business-critical applications across the SCOPE and Maple environments
• Investigating incidents using logs, SQL queries, stored procedures and existing application code
• Diagnosing application, database, integration and service issues
• Reading and debugging Java code to identify faults and potential improvements
• Managing incidents, problems, requests and changes through agreed support processes
• Communicating service impact, progress and expected resolution times to business stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Strong SQL skills, including writing queries and understanding stored procedures
• Working knowledge of Java with the ability to read, interpret and debug existing code
• Experience supporting business-critical applications in a production environment
• Knowledge of relational databases, ideally including Sybase
• Understanding of incident, problem and change management processes
• Clear communication skills and confidence explaining technical issues to varied audiences
