Assistant Controller

📋 Description

• Own technical accounting function, GAAP research, policy development, and audit-ready docs.
• Lead core accounting ops end-to-end: payroll, O2C, close governance, and reconciliations.
• Oversee international accounting and tax compliance, including multi-currency consolidation.
• Build and coach a high-performing accounting team with clear standards and scalable playbooks.
• Drive accounting transformation via process standardization, automation, and responsible AI.
• Establish and strengthen internal controls and SOX readiness with SOPs and training.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in progressive accounting with leadership in technical accounting, reporting, controls.
• CPA license required, with public accounting background (Big 4/national preferred) and tech/SaaS exposure.
• Deep technical accounting expertise translating complex U.S. GAAP into practical applications.
• Proven experience drafting technical memos, policies, audit support, and executive-level conclusions.
• Hands-on close, reconciliations, intercompany activity, and implementing new tools.
• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, SQL, BI tools, or similar systems; ability to drive automation.
